Part-Time Engineering Intern

Somerville, NJ

Tuesday – Friday. 8 – 24 hours per week.

Power-Flo Technologies Somerville is a high-tech distributor specializing in automation, drives, motion control, machine vision, machine safety, and robotics.

As an Engineering Intern, you will gain experience in many areas of automation, control systems and robotics.

You Will Gain Hands-on Experience in:

Working with customers on understanding their automation needs.

Developing proof of concepts. Basic designing of the automation or robotic system.

Programming a specific task that is required by the customers’ automation need.

Creating LIST OF PARTS for the automation system.

Working with other engineers on seminars and workshops.

Presenting the solution to the customer with the sales engineer (if required).

What You Bring to the Role:

Electrical knowledge required

Must be pursuing a degree in Engineering or a related field

Thorough knowledge of MS Office applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Tech-savvy

Proactive and self-driven, capable of taking ownership of tasks and working independently with minimal supervision

Confident in seeking support when necessary

Mechanical skills beneficial
