Job Description

We are looking for an Operational Excellence associate to drive improvement activities that align to our organizations strategic objectives. Project tasks involve measuring and analyzing current processes, capturing operational wastes and gaps, facilitating gap analysis and solutioning, measuring productivity, capacity and performance and identifying and implementing new processes. The ideal candidate is a results-oriented, analytic thinker that has the soft-skills to effectively engage key stakeholders and the technical skills to collect and analyze information, create process maps and participate in various improvement efforts.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Leads and/or assists with projects and improvement teams to deliver expected results.

2. Applies continuous improvement tools and techniques, as well as other Lean Six Sigma principles and tools across the organization as indicated.

3. Facilitates and/or assists with workshops and targeted improvement events to help teams quickly achieve strategic objectives.

4. Works with local team members to identify and prioritize continuous improvement opportunities through creation of roadmaps and leveraging other Lean / Six Sigma tools.

5. Works with local team members to instill effective daily management of tasks and behaviors, such as daily metric reviews, pareto analysis of issues, huddles and problem solving.

6. Contributes toward building a grass-roots culture of continuous improvement.

7. Coaches other employees on the use of various tools, concepts and practices foundational to Lean Six Sigma in order for employees to build self-sufficiency, sustainability and scalability.

8. Participates in Communities of Practice, assisting and/or facilitating Lean/Six Sigma training classes, documenting business processes and completing required continued learning.

Skills and Requirements

1. Bachelors degree

2. Must have 3 years of demonstrated understanding and experience in continuous improvement, process management, or system thinking.

3. Must have Strong knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma methods and proven ability to leverage them to achieve business results.

4. Must have experience in data collection and analysis.

5. Experience with creating dashboards

6. Experience in transactional business processes or operations

7. Demonstrated experience leading change

8. Ability to influence business leaders

9. Self-starter with problem solving skills

10. Ability to make decisions and collaborate across business units and functional areas

11. Passionate, high energy and results-oriented

12. Effective written and verbal communication skills across multiple formats: formal presentations, meetings, conference calls, e-mails, and memos

13. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

14. Extremely Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio

15. Some evening or night work hours may be required, depending on project needs.

16. 0-25% travel expected (expectations shown are targeted ranges; actual travel required will vary by project and can exceed or go below targeted amounts.) 1. Lean or Six Sigma Certification highly desired

2. MBA or advanced degree desired

3. Management in leading, training and coaching Lean Six Sigma teams preferred

4. Project Management skills (PMP) preferred null
