Optometrist

National Vision, Inc. seeks an Optometrist in Depew, NY. Provide outpatient care for patients with eye-related disorders and conditions. Deliver outstanding customer service through all patient interactions. Answer questions and provide advice to patients regarding vision and optical issues. Recommend appropriate patient follow-up and care options. Conduct eye exams using optometric equipment and general diagnostic interpretation. Determine each patients visual acuity, field of vision and eye coordination. Take detailed medical histories for all patients, including current and past prescriptions medications. Evaluate eye-related symptoms, such as discharge, redness and inflammation. Diagnose and treat ocular disease. Refer patients to board-certified ophthalmologists when required for more holistic eye care. Prescribe, fit and adjust eyeglasses contact lenses and other vision aids. Advise patients about proper eye hygiene and care. Identify eye health safety factors that could affect vision, such as working around chemicals or in front of a computer. Up to 20% domestic travel.
