DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This is professional work of an administrative nature involving the program planning, administration, analysis, evaluation, monitoring, and coordination of community adult mental health programs.  Within this role, you will function as a member of the administrative staff of the Washington County BHDS and under the direction of the Mental Health Program Director of Planning & Development.  As a County Mental Health Program Specialist 1, you will specialize in the area of monitoring and coordinating implementation of services and functioning as the direct assistant to the Mental Health Program Director in the areas of data collection and quality assurance.  You will also serve as a liaison with consumers, families, and providers of peer supports, rehabilitative services, housing and residential programs, and many other services including but not limited to Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team, supported employment, and evidence based practices.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

  REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Two years of professional level experience in the field of mental health; and a bachelors degree; or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:
You must pass a background investigation.
A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
