DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Research Analyst 1, you will be responsible for conducting research to identify trends and make recommendations for promotions and improvements to the Lotterys product portfolio or departmental policies or procedural changes.  You will also participate in systems analysis and operational research studies to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of current programs, policies, and systems, in addition to assisting with developing recommendations based upon study findings.
This professional gathers data from extensive and varied sales reports and other sources, monitors individual game sales performance, analyzes sales and promotional activity in an effort to identify successful or underperforming Lottery products or marketing strategies, and drafts reports of findings including recommendations that would increase sales and recommendations of new game marketing techniques and strategies.  Strong organizational skills are implemented to maintain analytical reports for marketing, products, retail operations, and the executive office.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time, however full-time telework employees are required to report to the office once per month.  In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.  If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Middletown.
Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

  REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year of professional marketing, advertising, sales, or merchandising experience; and a bachelors degree in marketing, advertising, business administration, data science, economics, or a related field; or
Five years of experience in managing a retail business, servicing retail sales accounts, or marketing products to retail accounts, which includes sales, advertising, marketing communications, product research, or promotion.

Additional Requirements:
You must possess a Bachelor of Science degree in one of the following concentrations: data science, data analytics, economics, or statistics/mathematics.
You must possess experience in data analysis, data modeling, and data visualization.
You must possess experience working with Excel and Tableau.
You must possess experience working with the lottery or gaming industry.
You must possess a valid drivers license.
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
