Summary: Georgia-Pacific is currently looking for a is looking for an Emergency Response Technician in New Augusta, MS.  The Emergency Response Technician creates value by providing physical security to mill operations and providing maintenance to all Leaf River emergency response and fire suppression equipment and systems. Additionally, this position serves as a primary emergency response personnel (fire, HAZMAT, and security emergencies) and acts as the mills primary emergency medical care provider.

Duties and Responsibilities:  Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment. Perform basic housekeeping responsibilities throughout the mill. Continuous knowledge development through shadowing and training in various roles. Perform basic operator care and preventive maintenance tasks. Engage in tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, pushing and/or pulling for twelve (12) or more hours a day. Work in a hot, cold, humid, noisy, industrial environment. Work around dust, oil, grease, chemicals, and other substances. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications).

Job Specifications or Qualifications:  At least one (1) or more years of experience in a farming, carpentry, construction, warehouse, military, production or manufacturing environment.
