Join our team at Alcohol and Drug Freedom Center as a full-time Certified Peer Recovery Supporter in Mount Vernon, OH. This is an exciting opportunity to utilize your experience to help others. With a competitive pay ranging from $16 to $17 per hour, youll be fairly compensated for your expertise and dedication. Your day as a Certified Peer recovery supporter

As a full-time CPRS at Alcohol and Drug Freedom Center, you will play a crucial role in providing support to individuals in need of substance use disorder treatments and/or behavioral health challenges. This office and community-based position offers a dynamic opportunity to engage with clients, assist them by sharing your lived experiences, and promoting recovery. You will have the chance to collaborate with a great treatment team and other community organizations ensuring seamless continuity of care and holistic support for each individuals unique treatment journey.

Successful candidates for this position should possess a high school diploma or equivalent and be a state Certified Peer Recovery Supporter. The role requires a deep understanding of alcohol and drug treatment and recovery processes. Must be proficient in engaging individuals in treatment and recovery, role-modeling recovery and resiliency, and advocating for clients needs and rights while maintaining confidentiality. Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and a customer-centric approach are key to building trusting relationships with clients and collaborating with community partners.

A commitment to integrity and professionalism in all interactions is paramount for success in this vital role.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

– High school diploma or equivalent
– Certified Peer Recovery Supporter credential required
– Experience working in behavioral health or addiction services is a plus
– An understanding of alcohol and drug treatment and recovery as well as how to engage a person in treatment and recovery are required.
