### Position Summary

The Office of Health Sciences (OHS) Educational Technology team is seeking a Classroom Support Professionals to provide technology support for the health colleges, including Human Medicine, Osteopathic Medicine, and Nursing. The primary responsibility of this role is to offer at-the-elbow support during in-session classes involving classroom technology. Adaptability is crucial, as timely responses are essential to maintaining educational continuity in the event of technology failures.

Classroom Support Professionals report to the Supervisor of Educational Technology and are tasked with providing user support for scheduled curricular and administrative events, as well as on an ad hoc basis. Additionally, Educational Technology staff may offer computer and laptop support. This position collaborates with OHS stakeholders to design, purchase, configure, and distribute IT assets to meet the business objectives of the health colleges.

### Minimum Requirements

Knowledge normally acquired in the first two or three years of college, technical, vocational or business school; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in an information technology area related to the duties to be performed OR a Bachelors Degree; up to six months of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in an information technology area related to the duties to be performed; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

### Desired Qualifications

Experience with:

Troubleshooting AV tech for premium quality educational value

At-the-elbow customer service

Live event organization and planning

Asset management and IT Service Desk and Team-Dynamix ticket systems

Live production recording

Video conferencing systems (e.g. Polycom) and applications (e.g. Zoom)

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Certifications: ITIL Foundations

AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist
