Sodexo is seeking an Executive Chef 1 for St. Ambrose University located in Davenport, IA. St. Ambrose University is a part of the Quad Cities – a bi-state (Iowa and Illinois) metropolitan area situated on the only major stretch of the Mississippi River that runs from east to west. The university resident dining serves 1600 students as well as food court, coffee shop and conference center.This position will direct the daily operations of the residential dining hall, to ensure employees have appropriate equipment, inventory and resources to perform their jobs and meet goals and deadlines.Valid Drivers License Required.
he successful candidate will:
be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting;
ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented;
have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations;
ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance; and/or
have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems.

While the budgeted range for the position is posted, Sodexo salary offers are based on a candidates specific criteria, like experience, skills, education and training.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement – Associates Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience – 2 years
Basic Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
