CNC Operator – 1st and 2nd shift

Job Overview

The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for operating CNC machines to produce precision parts and components according to specifications. The CNC Machine Operator will have a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, following instructions and safety guidelines to produce high quality components or finished products.

Responsibilities:

Set up and prepare CNC machines for operation by loading materials, aligning workpieces, and selecting appropriate tools and fixtures.

Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents to determine machining requirements.

Operate CNC machines to produce parts according to specifications, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.

Monitor machines during operation, reporting any malfunctions or abnormalities to supervisors and assisting in troubleshooting as needed.

Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC machines to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.

Inspect finished products for quality and conformity to specifications, using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

Document production activities, including setup, operation, and maintenance logs.

Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and team members to optimize machining processes and resolve production issues.

Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent accidents and injuries

Participate in assembly, packaging, and labeling of products, following standard operating procedures and quality standards.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including workstations, production areas, and storage areas.

Assist in other tasks as assigned by supervisors, including general labor duties such as sweeping, cleaning, and organizing materials.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; previous experience with 3-axis CNC machines in an industrial environment is preferred.

Basic knowledge of machine operation principles and procedures, with a willingness to learn and be trained on specific machinery.

Ability to follow instructions, work collaboratively with coworkers, and communicate effectively with supervisors.

Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks, including lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods.

Attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.

Flexibility to work in different areas of the manufacturing facility and adapt to changing priorities and tasks.

Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends, as needed.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to 50 pounds.

Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to operate machinery and perform tasks requiring precision.

Stamina and endurance to work in a physically demanding environment.

Good vision and hearing to detect equipment malfunctions and respond promptly.

Pay Details: $28.00 to $32.00 per hour
