Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a TV News MMJ (Multimedia Journalist) at Lakeland PBS in Brainerd, MN. The TV News MMJ will be responsible for daily news writing, reporting, filming, and editing news stories for television and digital platforms. The role will involve conducting research, interviewing subjects, and collaborating with the news team to cover local, regional, and national news. If interested send a link to your on-air work and a resume to dweimann@lptv.org Qualifications Strong News Writing, Writing, and Communication skills Experience in Broadcasting and Multimedia Journalism A keen eye for details and the ability to research and report news stories effectively Proficiency in video editing software and camera operation Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to work under deadlines and adapt to changing news situations Experience in investigative journalism is a plus Bachelors degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field Company Description Lakeland PBS is a 501c3 non-profit corporation owned by the public that it serves. Our headquarters is a state-of-the-art facility located in Bemidji, MN, with a satellite office and studio facility located in Brainerd, MN. We operate two full power digital television broadcast stations: KAWE (Bemidji) serving northern Minnesota and KAWB (Brainerd) serving central Minnesota. Since 1980, Lakeland PBS has been a Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) affiliate that produces, acquires, and airs programs relevant to our rural and culturally diverse region.
