Job Title: Accounting Specialist (15 Week Contract)
Job Description
Provide financial accounting and reporting support for the Corporate Benefits organization in Corporate Finance. The role involves maintaining and processing financial data using computerized financial management software, reconciling general ledger balance sheet accounts, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with company financial policies.
Hard Skills
General knowledge & understanding of accounting and GAAP
Knowledge of technical accounting principles and practices
Experience with Excel (basic or intermediate)
Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Five years of work experience in accounting clerical and technical activities
Soft Skills
Demonstrated experience performing analytical, research and problem-solving responsibilities
Ability to work effectively both independently and in a supportive, diverse team environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a timely manner
Strong organizational and follow-up skills
Attention to detail
Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance

This is a fully on-site position in Lake Bluff, Illinois.
Work Environment
Onsite in Lake Bluff/Abbott Park.
