job summary:

Leader in medical device manufacturing is looking for Entry Level Engineer in Round Lake, ILfor a contract role expected to last 12 months, possible extension, possible temp to perm. This position is primarily responsible for the electrical, mechanical, and environmental testing and evaluation of new and existing Electromechanical medical devices. Will be required to handle test stands, set-up, perform and monitor testing activities.

responsibilities:

Work on assignments of simple to moderately complex nature, exercising judgment in problem-solving and providing routine recommendations.

Typically requires no instruction for routine work but may receive general instructions for new assignments.

Apply basic techniques and procedures to projects.

Responsibilities include a wide range of research and development laboratory tasks and experiments.

Make detailed observations, analyze data, and interpret results.

Maintain medical device laboratory equipment and manage inventory levels for laboratory supplies.

May be responsible for writing experimental reports, summaries, and protocols.

Skills:

solid written and verbal communication skills.

Basic computer skills, including word processing, data entry, and email.

Fundamental knowledge of science and/or mathematics.

Team-oriented with a preference for a mechanical or electrical background.

Ability to follow procedures and think outside the box to troubleshoot issues.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors Degree.

1-2 years of mechanical experience is strongly preferred, or engineering graduates with some internship experience.

Basic computer skills are required.
