Position Description/Minimum Qualifications TOWN OF EASTON
Administrative Assistant Health & Community Services and Inspectional
Services Departments The Town of Easton is accepting applications for a
qualified individual to fill the position of Administrative Assistant
for the Town of Easton, 35 hours per week. Candidates must have a high
school diploma or equivalent, two years experience in an office
setting, or any equivalent combination of education and experience. The
Administrative Assistant performs a variety of general administrative
work. Duties include but are not limited to providing service to the
Department of Health & Community Services and the Inspectional Services
Department; assistants contractors and residents with online permitting
system; completes/reconciles departmental deposits and payments,
processes bills and payroll; gathers materials, prepares and posts
meetings agendas for departmental supported boards and committees;
attends board meetings as necessary and takes meeting minutes as needed
in accordance with Massachusetts Open Meeting Law; updates department
webpages as needed. Candidate must possess excellent computer skills,
and be able to learn quickly. This is a non-union, non-exempt position
with excellent benefits and municipal pension system. Step 1 is $26.87
per hour; anticipated hiring range is $26.87 – $28.72 per hour
($48,900 – $52,278 annual salary) depending on qualifications. See the
