We are seeking an experienced Buyer/Planner to join our clients team in Berlin, CT. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of relevant experience and will play a crucial role in managing our procurement processes and supply chain operations. This position requires understanding of inventory management, vendor relations, and demand forecasting.

salary: $85,000 – $90,000 per year

shift: First

work hours: 8 AM – 5 PM

education: Bachelors

Responsibilities

Responsible for the purchase of a combination of the following: fabricated parts, subcontract manufacturing, production tooling and raw materials

Prepare purchase orders

Work closely with Engineering and Quality teams

Prioritize and expedite orders as necessary

Analyze planning and manufacturing production schedules

Reduce cost in the procurement of materials

Effective negotiation techniques and project related sourcing strategies are a must

Work to resolve invoice discrepancies

Develop and maintain supplier relationships

Support to Engineering on new product development projects
