Fitness & Wellness Coordinator

Job Overview:

The Fitness & Wellness Coordinator works independently and will report to the Lifestyle Director and Fitness Manager. Possessesstrong communication, telephone, and customer service skills. Meets and greets residents; checks guests and service providers in/out. Able tounderstandand follow FirstService Residential safety/emergency protocols andassistingwith general first aid when needed. Able toaccess controlprocedures;monitors andoperateselectronic security control systems; and accuratelymaintainsdaily logs,recordsand forms.

Job Responsibilities:

Create, update, manage andmaintainthe monthly fitness calendar.
Serve as main liaison for scheduling with independent contractors and instructors, as well as coordinating monthlypop upclasses with instructors.
Coordinate monthly events by contacting and scheduling vendors,sendappropriate formsto be filled out, andfollowup as needed.
Managelocal health care system appointmenttracking and email spreadsheet weekly.
Calculate and update daily foot traffic spreadsheet and email to management for inclusion in the end of month reports.
Create,manageandmaintainindependent contractor spreadsheets and upload all new contracts,COIsand short forms.
Manage technology platforms, ensure theremainderof the team receives training on recent advancements and improvements.
Solely responsible for scheduling and conducting biweekly gym orientations for new and existing residents.
Manage and update online tracking platforms such asCoziand Event Builder.

Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Recreation, Hospitality or Education or equivalent work experience

Strong organizational skills

Ability to implement and oversee procedures for proper use of exercise equipment, aerobic conditioning, strength training & flexibility, and behavioral protocols for residents and guests to follow.

Ability to work in community-wide presentations on fitness and health-related topics of general interest, using local experts and consultants where applicable.

Available and on-call to cover staffing emergencies asrequired.

Ability to lift 20 – 35lbs

Work in an upright standing position forlong periodsof time

Walk and climb stairs

Handle, finger, grasp and feel objects and equipment

Ability to detect auditory and/or visual emergency alarms

Communicate,receiveand exchange ideas and informationby means ofthe spoken and written word

Ability toquickly and easily navigatethe property/buildingasrequiredto meet the job functions

Onoccasionmay require evening,weekendand/or holiday hours to oversee fitness and wellness center operations, programs, and/orspecial events.

Ability to respond to emergenciesin a timely manner.

Complete all required forms.

Compensation :

$17 per hour
