Job Title: Civil Designer

Job Description

Actalents client is looking to hire two civil designers who can assist with various land development projects in the jurisdictions of Howard, Prince Georges, and Montgomery Counties in Maryland. They will be responsible for using AutoCAD to assist with the production of engineering designs, including but not limited to stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, site grading, preliminary design, water and sewer plans. This is an office position that is deadline-oriented, and we need individuals who are excellent with the software and have related design experience. The projects they will work on include commercial, residential (both subdivisions and mixed-use), and industrial (flex warehouse space).

Hard Skills

At least 2 years designing with AutoCAD & Civil 3D

Experience with land development projects

Exposure to project management or interest in moving into project management

Soft Skills

Deadline-oriented

Excellent software proficiency

Willingness to learn and adapt

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 9 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Burtonsville, Maryland.

Work Environment

Office environment, Monday through Friday, 40 hours a week. Will be working as part of a project team with different disciplines represented (civil engineering, landscape architecture, survey).
