As a Deployment Readiness (DART) Instructor at NGA College, you will play a pivotal role in preparing GEOINT personnel for deployment. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver comprehensive pre-deployment training, ensuring that all personnel are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out their functions effectively and safely in diverse and challenging environments.

In this exciting role, you will conduct guided discussions, lectures, demonstrations, and small-group exercises in a classroom setting to enhance and reinforce GEOINT analysts’ skillsets. You will design, update, and maintain engaging and informative training materials that meet current standards and operational needs. Evaluating the effectiveness of training programs and making recommendations for improvements will be key to your success. Additionally, you will coordinate with other instructors and subject matter experts to ensure seamless communication and curriculum alignment.

Your responsibilities will also include ensuring all personnel are adequately prepared for deployment, addressing any strengths and gaps in GEOINT capabilities. You will prepare them for the challenges of deployment, including cultural differences, language barriers, and unfamiliar environments. Working closely with other instructors, you will deliver training programs tailored to the needs of GEOINT deployers, ensuring they are ready to face diverse and challenging environments.

Requirements:

Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Geography, Geodetic Science, Geospatial Intelligence, Spatial Statistics, or relevant fields.

Experience:

3 years of instructional experience.

Verifiable experience as a Geospatial Analyst within the last 36 months.

Certifications: Current TS/SCI Clearance.

Skills:

Knowledge of imagery interpretation, digital image processing systems, collections, and sensor phenomenology.

Strong working knowledge of ESRI GIS software and extensions.

Database maintenance.

Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Proficiency in using training software and tools.

Physical Fitness: Ability to meet physical fitness standards to participate in and demonstrate training exercises.
