Mountaineer Casino Resort

SUMMARY

Responsible for ensuring that accounting activities at all cage locations are performed accurately and efficiently in accordance with all applicable laws, West Virginia Lottery rules and regulations, Federal mandates, and Mountaineer Casino Resort established policies, procedures and controls.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Prepares cashier transfers from window to vault. 
2. Supervisors cash W2G level jackpot tickets and withholds appropriate taxes when necessary.  
3. Ensures that accurate paperwork is completed for all functions of the position, including end of shift balancing of cashier windows and vaults.        
4. Notifies a Cage Shift Manager of any incidents at their area and completes an incident report.
5. All other duties as assigned. 

 

REPORTING LINE

You will report directly to the Shift Manager Cage then to the Manager of Cage and Credit Ops.

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

– Must have excellent communication skills, be polite, and present a neat appearance at all times. 
– The ability to work with others as a team in an efficient manner. 
– You will need to be available to work all shifts. 
– The ability to work in a fast –paced environment.
– You must be at least 21 years old.
– You must be able to obtain a Level 2 Table Games License and a VLT Validation Manager License through the WV Lottery.  
– You also must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain and maintain a WV Racing License.

 

 

 

 

 

EDUCATIONAL AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or equivalent. Prefer six months cash handling or equivalent experience preferred. General knowledge of the Federal Currency Transaction Reporting (CTR) regulations and requirements.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

You will need to be able to stand/walk/sit for prolonged periods of time. The ability to push, pull, kneel, twist, carry and must continuously lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds and lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Will be exposed to working in a noisy, smoke/secondary smoke environment and seasonal elements.
