The Assistant Vice President of Sales & Marketing (AVP-S/M) is responsible for sales & marketing support services including assisting in the development, coordination, training and administration of programs and policies and procedures directly related to increasing and/or stabilizing occupancy of the company portfolio. 

Areas of Responsibility:

• Responsible for the overall coordination, management and leadership in launching initial sales & marketing activities of acquisitions and developments. • Accountable for business results through strategic planning, teamwork, collaboration of functional operations, and acting as a role model of the company’s values.   • Acts as a resource to communities by providing support and training in a variety of sales & marketing specific areas. • Provides sales & marketing support services on-site on an interim basis as requested.   • Exemplary communicator, the AVP-S/M is an advocate for all customers and exudes company values when interacting with internal and external customers. • Assists in the development and implementation of quality control programs that monitor sales effectiveness.   • Performs sales & marketing audits to verify compliance of regulatory guidelines and company processes.   • Supports the collaborative efforts of the corporate sales & marketing team. • Assists the VP Sales & Marketing with development and implementation of initiatives for revenue enhancement and expense reduction. • Assists in the development and/or updates of collateral materials and website content. • Ensures brand integrity in all aspects of marketing. • Assists in generating and monitor services “help desk” metrics and services “help desk” effectiveness. Monitor for re-occurring issues and take a proactive approach to find long-term solutions. • Creates all aspects of market analysis for new Community projects and acquisitions, and advise Development team on same. • Assists, as requested, in Task Force/SWAT assistance during new talent search and onboarding of newly hired associates. • Assists in the creation and implementation of administrative policies and procedures, and departmental parameters, to assist in achieving the goals of the company and achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s). • Must know and follow all guidelines in the Vehicles policy. • Attend and participate in all meetings and training as directed by Company policy and to develop relevant Sales & Marketing knowledge and skills as directed by the VP Sales & Marketing. • Maintain professional standards of personal appearance and grooming to reflect sales ability, leadership and integrity, which includes wearing appropriate professional attire, and name tag when in a Community. • When in a Community, be watchful of signs that residents are not able to function independently or a change in resident’s behavior. Report all signs to the Executive Director following the Company policies and procedures. • When in a Community, report any and all deferred maintenance, vandalism or hazardous situations to the Executive Director as discovered and take appropriate action as necessary. • Ensure understanding of and compliance with all regulations regarding residents’ rights. • Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent resident, associate, Community and Company information deemed as such. • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Working Conditions (travel, hours, environment): • Ability to work full-time, with some weekend work as required. • Travel required, up to 100% of work week as needed.

Special Requirements/Certifications: • Experience and skill in managing multiple projects simultaneously. • Strong organizational and analytical skills. • Related four-year college degree required. • Minimum four (4) years’ experience in Sales Management, and/or other related background with a proven successful sales record. • Prior experience in senior housing (i.e.: independent living, assisted living, memory care) preferred but not required. • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word and Outlook. • Time management and problem-solving is vital. • Must possess high-energy/enthusiasm, leadership, rapport building, and superior verbal/public speaking skills. • Must be able to work independently within a team context. • Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening. • Must be able to pass a physical having no sign or symptoms of a communicable disease including tuberculosis where required. Freedom from tuberculosis must be documented on an annual basis where required. • The Community is a drug free workplace; employees are subject to adherence to the Company Drug Free Workplace policy. • Must have a means of transportation. • Must possess a valid driver’s license. • Must have an acceptable Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) record; the record must be reviewed annually. • Must be considered to be insurable by the Community’s automobile insurance carrier. • Must not have the following: • Driver’s license denied or revoked within the last three (3) years. • Two (2) or more suspensions (with reinstatement), within three (3) years or currently suspended license without reinstatement. Suspensions for certain offenses will not be considered for the purposes of this requirement, i.e.: unpaid tickets, failure to appear, underage use of tobacco, and failure to pay child support. • Any major DMV conviction in the last five (5) years. Major convictions include, but are not limited to: DUI, DWI, speeding in excess of 25 mph, reckless driving, careless driving, vehicular homicide, manslaughter, or any conviction punishable by incarceration. • Two (2) or more at fault accidents within the last three (3) years. • Three (3) or more moving violations within the last five (5) years. • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age but not more than seventy (70) years of age. If over 70 years of age, the driver must provide documentation from their primary care physician that they are capable of operating the assigned vehicle. This documentation must be renewed every year.
