Job Description:

L3Harris Corporation is actively seeking a Lead Systems Engineer (Level 5) to join our dynamic team in Melbourne/Palm Bay, FL. Essential Functions:

Develop Item Level Specifications and decompose them to Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) Level Specifications,

Ensure thorough documentation of requirements in DOORS, including requirement linking and Requirement Verification Traceability Matrix (RVTM) creation.

Define Built in Test (BIT) requirements

Create Technical Memoranda, focusing on RF.

Create, Maintain, and update Software/Hardware Interface Requirement Specifications (SW/HW IRSs).

Conduct and lead Peer Reviews and Table-Top Reviews.

Work with technical team to identify, mitigate and close program risks.

Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills in a technical information environment; interact, anticipate, and respond to customer needs.

Ability to obtain DOD Secret Security Clearance

U.S. citizenship required due to defense contract requirements.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

Minimum of 9 years of related experience

Proficient in using DOORS for requirements management.

Demonstrated experience with Firmware and Software Requirements.

Knowledgeable in Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs).

Experience with Built-in-Test (BIT) strategies and implementation.

Phased Array Antenna Experience
