Honeywell Intelligrated is seeking to fill the role of an Experienced Sorter Rebuild Specialist. You will promote safety and efficiency while working against tight schedules to successfully teardown and rebuild sorting conveyors. This role is responsible to support the rebuild of Honeywell’s line sorters by following the guidance of the team lead to remove, replace, and clean hardware on a variety of Honeywell line sorter types. You will also be involved with inventory, staging, and moving hardware throughout a distribution center to support the rebuild in addition to clean up efforts to present a professional installation appearance. This job involves working mostly weekends within a constrained timeline where success is judged by completing the rebuild in the customer provided downtime windows while presenting a professional installation image.

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Connecticut, and Hawaii is $64,600 – $80,700. For Washington and most major metropolitan areas in New York & California, the annual base salary range is $64,600 – $80,700. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Keep Safety in forefront of all job-related efforts

Carry out the mechanical rebuild of Honeywell Intelligrated line sortation equipment

Carry out mechanical modifications and parts replacement on industrial machinery Manually move hardware and tools to and from the job site

Team collaboration to promote collective growth of team skills and knowledge

Research, read and analyze existing equipment documentation – includes layout drawings, plan views, and electrical schematics

Operation of industrial lifting equipment – crane, aerial work platforms (scissor lift), and forklift

Inventory and stage hardware

Mechanically remove and install hardware independently

Occasional support of assessments and new system commissioning

Break/fix emergency support of sortation systems when needed

Write site/project status reports for internal leaders and Project Managers

YOU MUST HAVE

High School Diploma or GED

3 years of mechanical technician experience

Proficiency with common metal fabrication tools (drills, saws, grinders); strong mechanical/millwright skillset

Ability to work long hours in a physically demanding role

Ability to work autonomously and have strong work ethic

Experience driving forklifts, scissor lifts, and cranes; Honeywell training and certification provided

Good communication skills

Experience reading and understanding of blueprints and schematics

Ability to work weekends (typical time off is mid-week)

Ability to travel up to 90% of work hours

WE VALUE

Some technical skillset – Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), ability to navigate through programs on a smartphone or tablet

Ability to climb, lift, or carry 25lbs individually and 50lbs as two person team

The ability to spend long periods of time standing or walking on concrete and other surfaces.

The ability to work above your head for extended periods of time

The ability to move safely in confined spaces which may require crawling on hands and knees
