Summary:

The Retail Regional Service Operations Manager manages a team of Retail Service Operations Team Leaders (SOTLs) or Retail Service Operations Managers (SOMs) that coach and support branches with executing operational and service objectives within Huntington’s moderate to low-risk appetite.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Motivates, coaches, trains, and develops SOTLs or SOMs, while employing a disciplined performance management process.

Monitors established operations and service Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and works in partnership with Service Operations and branch leadership to meet or exceed targets.

Provides oversight of risk management activities for assigned region to ensure service operations consistency and excellence through coaching, training, and communications.

Optimizes operational activities for branch producers by building and executing a roadmap that reduces the time spend on operations by revenue producing branch colleagues.

Participates in regional leadership meetings, team meetings, corporate level events, and engages in strategy formation within their assigned region/team.

Effectively resolves problems and advises on escalations or procedure exceptions by offering solutions that align within our risk appetite.

Collaborates with other segments and support units to ensure service operations excellence.

Participates in a wide variety of bank projects, representing the assigned region and overall branch strategy.

Performs leadership role in branch consolidations, openings/closings, relocations, and merger/acquisition activities.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED

5 years of related experience

Prior experience managing a team

Other:

Some travel, mostly within assigned region

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree

Prior branch and/or operations experience

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Demonstrated critical thinking skills and problem-solving ability

Comfort with technology

Experience with MS Office applications

Detail-oriented and thorough

Exempt Status: (Yes = not eligible for overtime pay) (No = eligible for overtime pay)
