The Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies is currently seeking a Manager, Professional Education to join our Surgery ED Tech team located in Raritan, NJ, Cincinnati, OH, or consideration for a remote setup at the managers discretion.

The Manager, Professional Education is responsible the development of strategy, content and execution of education programs that support the clinical and technical knowledge of the Ethicon Portfolio of products and procedural solutions to both surgeons and operating room staff. This will be achieved through strong clinical / customer knowledge along with exceptional collaboration and teamwork with Faculty, Marketing, Sales, and Commercial Education teams. This individual is responsible for adhering to all applicable legal and regulatory requirements as well as Company Health Care Compliance policies.

Duties & Responsibilities

Market and Industry Knowledge: Understand and apply market, industry, and competition to shape Wound Closure Professional Education strategy and content

Business Acumen: Collaborate with Marketing and Sales to ensure strategy to execution is followed.

Product, Clinical, and Disease State Knowledge: Deep clinical and disease state knowledge to shape and drive consistent / best-in-class end-to-end approach for Prof Ed across Areas and Academic Health Systems.

Ensure process simplification: Create Prof Ed offering process easy to understand, learn and use to increase organization engagement.

Faculty engagement: Recruit, develop and engage with faculty in key/prioritizes specialties

Customer Insights: Acquire and translate customer insights into adult learning offerings designed to address unmet needs

Program Design: Develop and implement prioritized programs that align to organizational needs (as needed)

Technology: Understand and apply existing and new technology (Digital, Simulation, Tele-Mentoring, Webcasts, Virtual Reality) to effectively integrate and reinforce key learning concepts throughout the learning continuum.

Global collaboration: Support global regions as needed by leveraging US faculty, content, and programs.

Oversee vendor negotiations and manage projects to ensure outsourced products meet Johnson & Johnson’s expectations. Lead project reviews.

Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.

Qualifications

Experience and Education

Required:

Bachelor’s Degree

3-5 years of Medical Device or related experience

Prior experience in Sales, Marketing or Professional Education in medical devices

Proven ability to understand business strategy and translate it into learning solutions that support the company’s business goals

Ability to lead cross functional teams across a matrix organization

Faculty management and development

Project management and ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.

Preferred:

Knowledge of adult learning methodologies and instructional design experience, e.g.; building curriculum for Healthcare providers

Desire to work in future marketing roles and/other cross functions within surgery

Preference to be in close proximity to a surgery campus – Raritan or Cincinnati

Experience with Ethicon Product Portfolio

Experience in designing distance learning

Experience with telementoring, surgical simulation and innovative training modalities

Proven ability to manage vendor resources

MBA or certification in an educational or training-related field/program preferred

Other:

Overnight travel may be required up to 30%

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $99,000 – $170,200
