Seeking a new and challenging opportunity to further enhance your career? Corteva Agriscience has an exciting opportunity for a North America Plant Excellence Leader to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to serve as the primary contact for NA production locations for seed production process related questions and opportunities. The Plant Excellence Leader will work in conjunction with engineering and support functions to support production locations with current state and future quality and productivity improvements.
You will work collaboratively with Plant Excellence Leaders in different regions to standardize, align, and implement processes to drive improvements in global seed operations. In this role, you will work to develop, lead, and implement plant operations and production engineering initiatives at the NA seed production sites at Corteva Agriscience.
The successful candidate will be accountable for driving improvements and standardization of end-to-end processes, plant equipment, and process controls to drive in alignment with NA and global seed production initiatives.
What Youll Do:
Develop working knowledge of all process areas in the seed production facilities.
Recommends and implements process improvements to improve the overall operation efficiency where applicable.
Optimizes process by identifying and eliminating root causes of process variations.
Monitors process variables and recommends changes in operation for improved performance.
Support and improve current plant equipment, implement process changes, and develop systems to reduce operating costs, increase production, and improve quality.
Lead data analysis, loss analysis, and technical troubleshooting efforts.
Provides supporting data, data analysis, and technical recommendations for troubleshooting efforts, technical reports, and performance updates.
Utilizes Data analysis to reduce variability or improve performance.
Assists with designing solutions to eliminate equipment failures and process instabilities.
Assists with proposals to justify capital expenditures, help manage technical aspects, and assist with coordination of start-up of capital projects.
Develop controls engineering procedures, controls engineering standards, and controls specifications as needed to gain efficiency and proper quality control.
Travels production sites to engage with production operations teams and for troubleshooting efforts and improvement projects.
Lead and participate on innovative teams to enhance business processes to support production effectiveness
Qualifications
What Skills You Need:
Bachelors degree in, Operations, Business, Engineering or Agricultural related fields or equivalent amount of education and experience
5 years of operation, business, engineering, or agriculture related experience
Knowledge of seed production process, process engineering, and seed business knowledge
Working knowledge or ability to learn Excel, Access, SAP, and production relevant systems
Demonstrated ability to interact and work with supporting functions in a team environment
Excellent communication and relationship building skills
Strong analytical skills
Strong financial acumen
High level of issue identification, problem solving, and decision-making skills
Ability to influence and coordinate effectively across cross-functional teams
