Required Skills:

Software Engineer Responsibilities:

1. Develop, design, create, modify, and/or test software applications or systems for various products or software services.

2. Perform full stack web or mobile application development with a variety of coding languages.

3. Create consumer products and features using internal programming language Hack.

4. Implement web or mobile interfaces using XHTML, CSS, and/or JavaScript.

5. Work closely with Product Manager to define feature specifications and build products leveraging frameworks such as React and React Native.

6. Work closely with operations and infrastructure to build and scale back-end services.

7. Build report interfaces and data feeds.

8. Conduct design and code reviews.

9. May be assigned to specific group focused on product or infrastructure.

10. Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.

11. Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

12. Complete medium to large features (each with many tasks) independently without guidance.

13. Identify and drive changes as needed for assigned codebase, product area, or systems.

14. In connection with these duties, may apply knowledge of the following: Full stack web/mobile application development in industry-standard languages like C, C, Java, or C#

15. Building large-scale infrastructure applications

16. Creating web applications using Python, PHP, or Ruby

17. Relational databases and SQL

18. Implementing web interfaces using JavaScript, HTML, or CSS

19. Leveraging frameworks using React or React Native and

20. Conducting design and code reviews.

Minimum Qualifications:

21. Requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and 36 months of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Foreign degree equivalent accepted. Experience must include 36 months involving the following:

22. 1. C, C, C#, or Java

23. 2. Python, PHP, or Haskell

24. 3. Relational databases and SQL

25. 4. Software development tools: Code editors (VIM or Emacs), and revision control systems (Subversion, GIT, or Perforce)

26. 5. Linux, UNIX, or other nix-like OS as evidenced by file manipulation, advanced commands, and shell scripting

27. 6. Core web technologies: HTML, CSS, or JavaScript

28. 7. Building highly-scalable performant solutions

29. 8. Designing scalable distributed systems with established partition tolerance, consistency, and availability guarantees

30. 9. Applying algorithms and core computer science concepts to real world systems as evidenced by recognizing and matching patterns from different areas of computer science in production systems

31. 10. Distributed systems including sharding, consistency, and availability

32. 11. JavaScript

$227,851/year to $240,240/year bonus equity benefits
