We are seeking an HR Director, HRBP for our Global Services & Support (GSS) function of the Genetics Sciences Division (GSD). Candidates with equivalent experience are encouraged to apply. Take charge of talent strategies and initiatives, translating business strategy into HR solutions and strengthening our competitive positioning.
Job Responsibilities
Collaborating
Collaborate with and mentor senior people leaders and their teams on sophisticated leadership and HR issues including development, engagement, and talent performance.
Build and implement HR strategies and operating plans to drive business strategy, including talent management, leadership & team efficiency, engagement, and compensation planning.
Cultivate organizational capacity and synchronization by supporting the development and/or facilitation of leadership teams, with a focus on team efficiency, goal formulation, and strengthening manager competence.
Apply outstanding project management skills to lead central initiatives with ownership, accountability, and effective collaboration with customers, partners, and team members.
Change Leadership
Act as a successful change agent and lead key organizational initiatives for the business. Participate in the broader division and group HR team to drive HR projects and initiatives.
Develop robust talent management plans and drive cultural change initiatives to attract, retain, develop, and engage talent in critical roles.
Collaborate with COE Specialists to complete and implement large-scale HR initiatives, such as rolling out annual programs and new policies.
Analytical Reasoning
Use insights and data to drive decision-making and action-planning, balancing data analysis, experience, and judgment to form solutions.
Facilitate organizational diagnosis, workforce planning, and metrics to drive organizational efficiency through talent and organizational capabilities and culture.
Stay on top of industry, market, and functional trends, using these insights to develop appropriate strategies and solutions.
Organizational Agility
Lead global HR priorities for the Global Commercial functions, commissioning HR solutions via HR Specialists or third-party vendors, as appropriate.
Drive and ensure alignment of HR processes with strategic and operating goals.
Collaborate flexibly and lead global collaborators across the business, regions, and functions, using the broader Thermo Fisher HR matrix to deliver outstanding outcomes.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
Educational Qualifications
BA/BS or equivalent experience required, MA/MS preferred, SPHR/PHR preferred.
Experience Qualifications/Skills
8 years of successful experience as a strategic HR business partner in a global large multi-national company (Pharma/Biotech preferred).
Credibility as a trusted advisor and confidant to VPHR on business issues and strategy
Experience working with various commercial functions, including sales, marketing, operations, and services.
Demonstrable experience with Process Improvement approaches, such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Practical Process Improvement.
A track record of positive results demonstrating how programs and initiatives have contributed to business performance while driving cultural change.
Proven success in implementing organizational change initiatives.
Self-motivated with a bias for action.
High level of tact, diplomacy, discretion, and empathy/understanding in a global environment across multiple cultures.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong project leadership skills with the ability to lead short-term results alongside longer-term strategic achievements.
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, as needed.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $174,600.00–$261,900.00.
