About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Data Engineer who will be part of Auto Data Technology Team supporting the auto data warehouse. This position will play a critical role in Auto data platform modernization and be responsible for developing technology solutions supporting complex business processes including transformation of data, data modelling, performance tuning, analytics, and workflow needs of the Auto line of business.

In this role, you will:
Lead complex, broad impact initiatives including high level systems consulting for Auto Lending Data & Insights technology delivery teams, interfacing applications and downstream consumers
Work as key participant in large scale planning for Auto Lending Data & Insights
Implement tooling and monitors to discover problems in data and applications and communicate issues to engineering and product leadership
Review and analyze complex technical challenges and escalated support issues related to core business solutions that require in depth evaluation of multiple factors, such as alternatives, enhancements, periodic systems reviews, or improvements to existing systems
Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
Lead pilots, proof of concept technical evaluations, teams, or serve as a peer mentor
Consult with engineering team on change design requiring solid understanding of technical process controls or standards that influence and drive new initiatives
Remediate security vulnerabilities and implement technology mandates in a timely matter to remain system compliant.
Required Qualifications:
5 years of Database Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
5 years experience in running Oracle/PL SQL queries, tuning, stored procedures etc.
5 years experience in ETL tools such as Informatica/Ab-Initio
4 years experience in troubleshooting issues to deliver business capabilities.
2 years agile methodology and JIRA
3 years experience developing and deploying Java applications and pipelines for data management and integration on platforms like Spark
2 years experience with application and service design and architecture (microservices), including testing/launching software products
2 years experience in build automation tools like Gradle and Maven
2 years experience and knowledge of CICD (Continuous Integration Continuous Development)
Desired Qualifications:
Experience in consumer lending compliance and regulatory issue management, and resolution
Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) development (Ansible, Terraform, or Harness, etc.)
Strong verbal communication skills
Strong understanding of core resiliency and reliability tenets
Experience in building data management pipelines.
Experience in DB performance tuning in relational and distributed databases
Hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter
Hands-on experience with Informatica Unix scripting
Experience in scheduling tool like Autosys.
Experience presenting analysis and evaluating solutions with stakeholders, partner and leadership teams.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and use strong writing and verbal skills to communicate facts, figures, and ideas to others.
