A Mechanical Designer is needed for a global engineering, construction and project management company in the Richland, WA area. This role involves designing material handling equipment and systems using CAD software, supporting procurement, and collaborating with engineers and clients, requiring a background in mechanical, chemical, or nuclear engineering and experience with industry standards and regulations.

responsibilities:

Collaborate with engineers to establish mechanical design requirements for new or existing systems.

Use CAD software (Solidworks, Microstation, IGRIP) to create 3D models, detail drawings, and simulations.

Develop designs that align with company regulations and client standards.

Work with companys Standard Application Programs and CAD/CAE tools for 2-D and 3-D design.

Foster an open, communicative, and innovative work environment.

Skills:

Proficiency in 2-D and 3-D CAD design and related software.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite.

Knowledge of industry codes, standards, and regulations related to mechanical design.

Experience preparing discipline-specific deliverables, budgets, and schedules.

strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Education and Experience:

Grade 23: Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Mechanical Technology, Chemical, or Nuclear Engineering with 1 year of related experience.

Grade 24: Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Mechanical Technology, Chemical, or Nuclear Engineering with 3 years of related experience.
