Functional Description:

DDG is seeking a Graphic Designer to support the U.S. Marine Corps College of Distance Education and Training (CDET) in Quantico Virginia. This position will provide graphic support to the design and delivery of Professional Military Education (PME) curriculum and marketing of educational programs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

– Advise Curriculum Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Instructional System Designers (ISDs) on graphic strategies to achieve learning outcomes and objectives.
– Develop graphics that support instructional validity and technical performance for asynchronous, self-paced delivery in accordance with defined standards.
– Develop graphics and multimedia for CDET marketing and outreach programs for a variety of print and digital media.
– Tag and track individual graphics in use and update based on departmental naming system, standards, and procedures.
– Coordinate with Headquarters Marine Corps Public Affairs Office and Training and Education Command (TECOM) Combat Camera Branch in imagery and video collection efforts.
– Capture image and photo products from searchable image databases.
– Provide photographic and video-graphic technical expertise for the development or evaluation of courseware.
– Provided photographic and video-graphic support for marketing and event capture.
– Design and develop graphical user interfaces for Learning Management System (LMS)-based, stand-alone and mobile courseware applications.
– Attend initial project meetings for courseware requiring still or motion photography.
– Capture and edit video and audio and work with Adobe products to integrate interactive multimedia elements.

Required Experience:

– Demonstrated graphic design; data visualization, illustration, and layout design; and brand development experience.
– Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
– Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality design.
– Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
– Proficiency with Microsoft Office365 and Adobe Creative Suite.

Desired Experience:

– Experience with interactive eLearning development applications.
– Prior military service or experience working with the military.

Education Requirements:

– Bachelors degree in graphic art, graphic design, communications, or a related discipline.
