Summary You will serve as a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST in the FLEET READINESS CENTER MID ATLANTIC, VOYAGE REPAIR TEAM DEPARTMENT of FLTREADCEN DET MID ATLANTIC PAX RIVER. Responsibilities You will manage VRTs Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with the ISO 9001:2015 standard as a certified ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor. You will utilize computer programs including Microsoft systems to perform statistical analysis and present reports to management. You will facilitate management reviews to analyze and evaluate team performance and improvement opportunities. You will determine program compliance using audits to ensure accuracy and reliability of internal control systems. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing some or all of the following duties: Executing a comprehensive activity-wide ISO 9001 Standards Assessment Program to include the planning, directing, controlling, monitoring, and administering of all program elements and technical direction and guidance of the program: Planning work requirements to maintain/gain ISO compliance and certification; Ensuring audits, reviews, and studies are structured to test and verify the reliability and accuracy of internal control systems and to promote operational efficiency; Creating and maintaining internal audit process performance reports, audit close out, external audit findings, and status of non-conformities and corrective actions; and Analyzing new and existing requirements to determine impact on overall internal audit program operations. Education Individual Occupational Requirements Education Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study — quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, textiles, or other fields related to the position. or Experience Specialized Experience: Experience that demonstrated a practical knowledge in monitoring, controlling, or maintaining the quality of products or services in quality assurance, procurement, inspection, production, or related areas.
