Job Description:
The Factory to Field Technician will support and implement cutting edge public safety IT systems used by police, fire, EMS and the military. Systems involve L3Harris and vendor equipment, and typically include IP networks, linux and windows virtual machines, RF Base Station & Repeater equipment, and/or other custom subsystems.
Essential Functions:
Owning the implementation of complex IP-Based LMR systems from staging to field deployment.
Testing and validating functional performance of systems with customers.
Implemement standardized configurations for all VMWare, Windows, and Linuxs platforms used within the system.
Participate in discussions with customers, consultants, vendors, subcontractors and other L3Harris personnel as necessary.
Utilize test equipment such as oscilloscopes, watt meters, and other RF test instruments to optimize P25 LMR sites.
Approximately 75% time will be spent in factory staging and verification and 25% field travel.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent with 8 years prior experience, 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 4 years prior experience
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Washington D.C., Maryland Greater Washington D.C. area the salary range for this role is $70,000 – $130,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
