About the Opportunity

This is an open position with Mon Power, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. [MP]

This position is located at the Fort Martin Power Station in Maidsville, WV. The position reports to the Plant Director as well as performs duties for plant managers and the VP, Operations.

Job Summary:

The position will handle a variety of clerical, administrative and general tasks including, but not limited to, data processing, file creation and maintenance, scheduling, mail distribution, telephone reception, and invoice processing. The selected individual must be able to work independently with little or no supervision and must be exceedingly well organized and flexible. This position will also provide support for multiple administrative functions in other plant areas.

Duties Include:
Performing various complex clerical, administrative, and general office duties such as data compilation, word processing, record & file maintenance, mail distribution, receiving & directing visitors, and telephone reception
Coordinating general office functions and providing support to Station Management
Assisting the Plant Director with administrative details pertinent to department operations (expense account preparation, meeting scheduling, travel itineraries, etc.)
Interacting frequently with FirstEnergy executives; providing high quality service and support
Scheduling and coordinating meetings, activities, materials, etc.; remaining flexible and able to quickly handle changes in scheduling and last-minute information requests
Maintaining appointment calendars, conference calls, scheduling meetings, travel arrangements and itineraries and associated details
Developing and maintaining database and spreadsheets; creating and preparing correspondence and complex presentations
Creating, organizing, and maintaining files and records systems
Regularly handling sensitive and confidential materials and information with high degree of confidentiality
Proficient in the use of the Payroll System. This includes entering Payroll data for the physical workforce and reviewing Payroll entries for employees who self-enter payroll data. Ability to administer multi-rates for physical employees is also required
Handling SAP and ELM administrative work
Demonstrating a solid commitment to all aspects of safety
Independently anticipating and providing excellent quality service to meet internal and external customer needs
Answering complex inquiries pertinent to the assigned area
Proactively working to ensure knowledge is transferred to others
Using excellent communication s skills and demonstrating good judgement
Placing orders for station office supplies
Assisting with other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Summary of Qualifications Include:
Must have high school diploma or GED. Bachelors degree in related discipline preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience preferred. Previous experience providing support to several individuals is preferred.
Must pass the Companys Support and Administrative Selection System (SASS) testing.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
