Job Summary:
DT Professional Services is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to provide system and software engineering support to Naval Air Systems Command to maintain and improve the V-22 program. The Senior Systems Engineer requires an Active Secret Clearance and the expertise in both skill and knowledge to perform the responsibilities of this position.
Responsibilities:
Identify and improve the complexities, dependencies, and technology of the V-22 Technical Data ecosystem (e.g. hardware/software products, system architecture, infrastructure, data repository, etc.)
Provide data and documentation quality oversight support
Provide technical support to analyze tasks and create and update V-22 documentation to ensure conformity with program and military quality standards
Provide quality assessment and process training as required
Liaison with government representatives and contract partners
Deliver technical documentation (e.g. white papers, PowerPoint briefings), process/product improvement recommendations, and be an active participant in technical interchange meetings
As with any position, additional expectations exist – some of these are, but are not limited to, adhering to normal working hours, meeting deadlines, following company policies as outlined by the Employee Handbook, communicating regularly with assigned supervisor(s), and staying focused on the assigned tasks including company meetings, and completing other tasks as assigned
Frequent travel to various U.S. based government installations required to provide hands-on training to both government and contract partners
Basic Qualifications:
Active DoD issued Secret Clearance or higher
15 years experience in the Aviation Industry
Associates of Science Degree or higher required
V-22 Osprey program knowledge
Proficiency in processes and procedurals ensuring conformity with DoD military or Government related software development standards
15 years experience in analyzing software design specs, process docs, workflows, blueprints, schematics, and engineering data for support requirements
Experience managing IPTs
Ability to travel frequently (one week per month or more)
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiar with MIL-STD-1388, MIL-STD-38784A, MIL-PRF-85337B, MIL-STD-87268C, MIL-STD-87269C
Experience with Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), Standard Repair Procedures (SRP), Standard Materials and Processes (SMP), and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) in support of fielded aircraft
Experience with managing data for the V-22 program
20 years of experience in web-based tools and databases
Experience with aviation technologies for the V-22 program
The compensation range for this position: $105,000 – $120,000 annually.
