Role Summary/Purpose:

Synchronys Products organization works to launch and distribute new and competitive products & capabilities. The Technology Product Owner will be responsible for the Engage, Apply, & Complementary Capabilities, partnering with product managers, architects, and engineers in crafting solutions that enable growth and positive interactions with our products. These capabilities include prequalification, prescreen, debt cancelation, and credit builder products.

Synchronys products & capabilities touch many aspects of a customer experience, and you will lead the technical execution of the product strategy across several teams. Youll be responsible for facilitating strategic and tactical conversations among a wide range of business and technical stakeholders, converting customer needs and business requirements into a technical roadmap, and collaborating across multiple Agile Release Trains and Agile Delivery Teams to deliver these features/capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong project management background with a track record of delivering critical initiatives in Agile at Scale. Additionally, the candidate should have experience designing technical solutions and developing/influencing product & technical strategy.

Essential Responsibilities:

Develop and lead a team of technical product and quality assurance leads supporting this product domain

As technology partner to the product team, work with product managers and application teams to shape product enhancements for simplified integration, new integration capabilities, and improved integration processes

Technical feature design ensuring enterprise scalability

Technical competitive intelligence for integration capabilities and process

Work with client teams and business to shape client requirements and provide ongoing communication through project execution

Communicate and facilitate effectively across diverse audiences within and outside of the Agile Team (program peers, key stakeholders, executives, and clients)

Engaging with clients to partners and commercialize products at scale

Manage a diverse development team consisting of application architects, application engineers, quality engineers, and third-party contractors.

Leverage Scaled Agile ceremonies to facilitate organization and collaboration across teams/trains

Keep Agile Delivery Teams/Trains focused on concrete priorities while keeping outside influences from disrupting and actively identify and remove waste and distractions

Ensure all teams are providing outputs which will piece together to the desired Product deliverables and provide end to end QA leadership

Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelors Degree and 7 years of IT experience or equivalent leadership program experience, or in lieu of degree High School Diploma/GED and 10 years of IT experience, experience in developing and implementing information systems and project management experience

Experience in product management, especially technical product management

Desired Characteristics:

Prior experience in software engineering and/or systems architecture design

Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams, software developers in particular

Passion for Agile and experience helping teams become more Agile

Experience working in SAFe / scaled Agile a plus

Previous experience with both front-end and back-end applications; experience with Fiserv/First Data Credit Issuing Systems a plus

Experience with JIRA, Confluence and other Atlassian products; fluency in MS Office

Superior organization skills and adept at multi-tasking

Excellent written and verbal interpersonal and communication skills

An analytical approach to problem solving and trouble shooting

A can do and flexible attitude with an ability to hit the ground running and learn on your feet

High level of initiative and can work well in a team environment

Grade/Level: 12

The salary range for this position is 110,000.00 – 185,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

You must be 18 years or older

You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you dont meet the time in position or performance expectations).
