The Connectivity and Sensors Group (CSG) is a leading global supplier of connectivity systems and components, including Ultra-Wideband, Bluetooth, Matter, Wi-Fi, cellular IoT and MEMS sensors. Markets for CSG include smart home, automotive connectivity, industrial automation, smartphones, wearables, gaming and other high-growth IoT connectivity and healthcare market segments.

SUMMARY:

We are looking for a motivated Senior Filter Design Engineer with a solid background in RF design, excellent communication skills, and strong drive to produce best in class products.

The candidate will be responsible for designing Acoustic Filters for Wi-Fi and Automotive applications. Applicant will work closely with a core design engineering team and other cross functional team members to bring cutting edge Wi-Fi 7/8 products to the market.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

– Design and development ofBAW and SAW filtercomponents for WiFi and Automotive applications

– Designmicrowave acoustic devicesusing a variety of design techniques, including conventional bandpass filters, ladder filters, notch filters, CRF filters, acoustic-assisted filters, etc. It involves the knowledge of circuit simulation, front end radio architecture, communication systems, RF characterization, micro-electronics technology, and fabrication processes.

– Performacoustic and electromagnetic (EM) simulationsusing a combination of commercially available tools as well as Qorvos state-of-the-art internally developed tools andprovide final device layoutto support photomask set creation.

– Interact with BAW and SAWprocess engineers and RandD team, using knowledge of fabrication process variations and capabilities.

– Collaboration with PA and LNA/Switch designers to optimize module performance

– Work with characterization and test engineers toevaluate and diagnose devicesusing the latest in RF/Microwave test equipment andcoordination of internal and external samples.

– Work with product engineeringto transfer new product to production

– Contribute to thecontinuous improvementof design flow, method and cycle time

– Presentation of design reviews and weekly design/evaluation status

QUALIFICATIONS

– BSEE (minimum) with 8 years of experience,MSEE or Ph.D. (preferred) with 5 years of experience

– Industry or academic experience to include each of the following: RF circuit design (incl. microwave resonator, filter, coupler, antenna, amplifier); EM simulation (HFSS or equivalent); layout design and troubleshooting; impedance matching and tuning; filter component evaluation and integration; RF device characterization and system level measurements.

– Direct experience of BAW or SAW design preferred

– Knowledge of microelectronic fabrication and high-volume manufacturing, statistical analysis and six-sigma method for process improvement

– General knowledge of WiFi and Bluetooth protocols and communication standards desired

– Excellent communication and presentatio skills

– Ability to work independently, as well asin larger teams
