ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (DUTIES) OF THE JOB:
Correctly wand onto the shop floor data system for labor
Read and follow appropriate product criteria, activity instruction’s, and elements
Follow all safety precautions as spelled out in the Activity Instruction
Use of appropriate equipment/tools (Press, Pill Heater, Belt Sander, Anneal Bake Oven, Ring Press, CNC Machines, Burr Gun, Ultra Max, Hand Tools)
Form and finish cores per Activity instruction and product criteria
Load anneal bake setters per product criteria, if required
Load and unload anneal bake oven, if required
Understanding of loading and operation of CNC machines
Responsible for visual and dimensional quality of green cores (gauge cores)
Visually inspect cores for unacceptable defects per the product criteria or activity instruction
Correctly wand lot travelers and scrap after each tray and take cores to kiln truck
Fill out OEE sheets
Maintain clean work area and perform TPM per schedule
Perform pre-shift die inspection and TPM checklist.
Observe safety policies and regulations
Maintain high attendance record
Basic understanding of the use of dial calipers, micrometers and pin gauges
Understand use of the HCS ‘Help Chain”
Maintain pacing via Aussie Pace System
Perform Problem Solving with Leadership
Perform other duties as directed by Leadership
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (DUTIES) OF THE JOB:

Read and follow appropriate product criteria, activity instruction’s, and elements
Follow all safety precautions as spelled out in the Activity Instruction
Use of appropriate equipment/tools (10x Magnifying Glass, Brushes, Patch/Ludox, Sandpaper, Ultra Max, Diamond File, Flat File, Disc, Burr, Collet, Mandrel, Tie Bar Machine, Go/NoGo Pins, other equipment/tools as required)
Visually inspect core for obvious scrap
Prepare tie bar machine according to AI (if applicable)
Cut tie bar (CTB) per product criteria (if applicable)
Prepare CTB machine for blending using proper equipment (if applicable)
Blend tie bar (if applicable)
Correctly perform Post-Fire CNC Operation
Check slot width with go/no go pins if required by product criteria (gauge cores) or if excessive finish is performed
Visually inspect cores for unacceptable defects per the product criteria or AI such as cracks, chips, excess parting lines, negatives, crazing, and positives
Use ceramic patch material where allowed by the product criteria, to repair cracks, chips, negatives, and crazing. Remove excess patch using brush or sandpaper
Communicate with pre fire operators any current quality issues
Core fill slots with liquid wax per product criteria and other core prep work as called out on the product criteria such as adding standoffs
Correctly wand lot travelers and scrap after each tray
Maintain pacing via ½ hr x ½ hr sheets or Pace Board
Use Pace System when applicable
Work with Leadership on Problem Solving
Understand use of the HCS ‘Help Chain”
Maintain clean work area
Observe safety policies and regulations
Maintain high attendance record
Perform other duties as directed by Area Leadership
CRITICAL SKILLS/EXPERTISE: (FOR THIS JOB SPECIFICALLY)
Ability to record data
High degree of manual dexterity
Basic mathematical skills
Interpret PMS/Activity Instructions
Cut tie bar (CTB) per pro
High School diploma or GED equivalency
Three (3) months’ on-the-job training to fulfill introductory period
Six (6) months’ experience to be eligible for certified operator status
Ability to read and comprehend written instructions
Mental and visual attention
Perform to productivity and quality standards
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
