Job Title: Robotic Welder Operator
Job Description
A robotic welder operators responsibilities include:
Operating the robot: Set up and operate robotic welding equipment to weld metal components together.
Programming: Program the robot and develop parameters and schedules for production.
Loading and unloading: Load and unload materials manually or with hoists.
Monitoring: Monitor the machines operation and diagnose problems.
Inspecting: Inspect welds to ensure quality assurance. Make minor adjustments to the robot or program as needed.
Maintaining: Perform routine maintenance on the robot.
Following safety protocols: Follow safety policies and procedures, and wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
Training: Train new personnel on operating the robot.
Keeping work area clean: Ensure the work area is kept clean and tidy.
Working with suppliers: Maintain a working relationship with suppliers to source replacement parts and new equipment.
Robotic welding operators may also perform related tasks such as drilling, grinding, repairing broken parts, and filling holes.
Welding certifications can help demonstrate that a robotic welder operator has the right skills and is up to date with industry standards.
