DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this County Mental Health Program Specialist 1 position, you will be primarily responsible for all aspects of the Family Based Mental Health Services Program including planning, implementation, and program maintenance. Work involves direct supervision of personnel, interagency communication, budget monitoring, and program evaluation. Your leadership and guidance will ensure that staff are actively working on their professional growth goals, facilitate successful coordination as a liaison with other service providers and community resources, and obtain feedback from consumers and their families to ensure that services are appropriate and incompliance with program standards. You will also participate in the provision of family based mental health services to children, adolescents, and their families who are at imminent risk of out-of-home placement as needed. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

  REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Two years of professional level experience in the field of mental health; and a bachelors degree; or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:
This position requires a current Pennsylvania Drivers License that is not under suspension.

You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:
This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
