PostingJob Summary Purpose:

The Fleet Operations Manager is responsible for vehicle and equipment management including planning which includes oversight and direction for all fleet repair and maintenance programs, fuel management programs, and management of systems to optimally utilize resources while minimizing costs. The Manager will focus on fleet efficiency, develop our vehicle replacement/deployment strategy and develop plans to enhance the allocation of resources while maintaining a strong focus on operational safety and will insure full compliance with the relevant legal entities DOT, DMV, etc.. The Manager will manage R&M, administer external providers and develop plans to implement outsourcing opportunities. The Manager will also be responsible for delivering industry leading administrative practices. The primary responsibility of this position is to manage the retail commercial fleet and the associated vehicle programs, with an emphasis on providing fleet solutions to support our field operations that focus on cost control, and operational efficiency.

Overall Fleet management includes >9000 power units and >2500 trailers/other equipment with an overall vehicle expense exceeding $200 million per year.
