Job Description:

Our work involves providing support services for the Defense Health Program Enhancement (DHP) operational medical research program and Military Operational Medicine Research Program (MOMRP) and administrative and management support for the Military Infectious Diseases Research Program (MIDRP).

The MOMRP, USAMRDC, manages an extensive portfolio of research aimed at developing effective countermeasures against stressors to maximize health, performance and well-being throughout the Deployment Cycle. The broad program is organized into four program areas: Injury Prevention and Reduction, Psychological Health and Resilience, Physiological Health, and Environmental Health and Protection. The MOMRP conducts collaborative research with university and commercial laboratories and other federal agencies oriented toward solving critical problems facing the Army today and in the future.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Provide meeting support for the MOMRP’s Army and Defense Health Program (DHP) funded research programs; this includes contacting research performers to coordinate schedules, coordinating logistical support for MOMRP in-progress reviews (IPRs) and other meetings, and on-site administrative management of meetings.

Organize meeting with MOMRP and the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program (CDMRP) for the execution of the CDMRP-managed peer scientific review of potential research projects.

Review and submit all pre-and full proposal reviews to the correct MOMRP portfolio manager.

Tracking timeliness of reviews and all assigned projects to ensure both the MOMRP and CDMRP meet all required deadlines.

Manage conference approval processes and review all conference approval packets in accordance with USAMRDC, Army and DoD timelines.

Coordinate final legal and security approvals to conducts conferences/meetings in accordance with USAMRDC guidelines.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline or equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience

Required Experience: 3 years of related experience preparing and planning high-vis training meetings; 3 years of related experience in coordination of meeting dates, maintaining meeting calendar, and scheduling location for base meeting rooms or similar

Required Technical Skills: Must be highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Security Clearance Level: Must be clearable for a NACLC (T3); Active secret clearance preferred.

Required Skills and Abilities: Must be able to communicate and coordinate effectively in a multidisciplinary team; Must be able to meet recurring and frequent deadlines and manage government travel requests.

Preferred Skills: PMP Certification; Ability to execute meeting coordination and peer review procedure support for the USAMRDC/MOMRP; knowledge of government Defense Travel System (DTS); Experience with planning high level IPR training meetings for Senior military leaders and healthcare providers at USAMRDC/MOMRP.

The likely salary range for this position is $62,050 – $83,950. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
