Engineering Technician IV

Engineering Technician IV applies engineering techniques and principles to develop, design, modify, install, test, evaluate or operate electrical, electronics, avionics, mechanical, communications or related data processing systems for military rotary wing aircraft or associated support equipment and facilities. Provides support for maintenance, repair, inspection and troubleshooting of system equipment and components. Organizes, analyzes and prepares reports and presentations of technical data. Plans and performs tests and evaluations of systems equipment or components. Compiles, processes, and analyzes test data and results. Acts as a leader responsible for managing engineering resources, developing engineering procedures and controls, managing project efforts and resolving problems.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum of Seven (7) years’ experience in aircraft and weapon systems, hardware, instrumentation or software development .

Education requirement: High School diploma or GED

Requires completion of a technical school, trade school, advanced armed services technical training curriculum or course of training in electricity, electronics,

avionics, mechanics, armaments/ordnance, or engineering technology; or successful completion of at least 30 semester hours of course studies in an engineering, scientific or technical curriculum.

Top Secret Security Clearance Required. NOTE: US Citizenship is required to obtain/maintain a United States Top Secret Security Clearance.

Security Clearance:

Position requires the ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance and maintain a favorable Tier 5 background investigation.

Preferred Qualifications:

S-92, VH-92A, VH-3D, and VH-60N experience preferred.
