Responsible for the overall operation of assigned requirements providing long term and short term plans for aircraft maintenance support. Manages all activities of the maintenance department staff. Requires extensive technical knowledge of aircraft, machinery, facilities, and equipment. Requires a strong electrical, hydraulic and mechanical aircraft knowledge, including personal knowledge of computers. Extensive knowledge of the NARAIRINST 3710.1 series and CNAFINST 4790.2 series documents. Robust mechanical aptitude in order to offer technical direction in all maintenance areas. Knowledge of basic supply procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in a Business or Management discipline. Associates degree plus for (4) years additional work experience performing duties detailed OR eight (8) years additional work experience performing duties detailed may be substituted for a Bachelors Degree.
Minimum of ten (10) years within last fifteen (15) years in direct aircraft maintenance repair, inspection, and modification. Of the ten (10) years experience in aircraft maintenance, six (6) shall have been in a supervisory position that included responsibility for assigning program workloads as well as duties for entire shifts.
Shall have experience supporting IPTs and ITTs.
Personnel released from Military Service require an Honorable Discharge. Rotary Wing Aircraft experience within the last 5 years is required.
Security Clearance:
Position requires the ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance and maintain a favorable Tier 5 background investigation.
Preferred Qualifications:
S-92, VH-92A, VH-3D, and VH-60N experience preferred.
