Job Title: PhlebotomistJob Description
We are seeking a dedicated phlebotomist to join our team due to recent high turnover from resignations, relocations, and terminations. The phlebotomist will be part of a team that supports three cancer centers along with orthopedic clinics. The role involves collecting blood/urine samples from primarily cancer and orthopedic patients, processing samples in EPIC, and answering phones. You will be drawing blood from adult patients only, with no pediatric involvement. On the 3rd shift, you can expect to draw blood from 40-50 patients per shift, with the heaviest volume occurring between 3:00a-7:00a. The position requires traveling by foot to various rooms where blood draws are requested.
Hard Skills
2 years’ experience as a phlebotomist within a hospital
EPIC experience (experience using hand-held Rover devices highly preferred)
Phlebotomy certification (highly preferred but not required)
Job Type
This is a contract position with a duration of 3 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Work Environment
Fast-paced clinical lab within Duke Hospital
