Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring a full-time Event Coordinator to join our team at the Kennedy Space Center in Merritt Island, Florida. As an Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing support to the marketing events team. If you are organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering memorable event experiences, this role is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team and work in a unique environment.
Pay
$17.50 – $17.50 / hour

Responsibilities
Assists with coordination and implementation of marketing events.
Assists in the preparation of event notices for internal distribution.
Update and maintain prospective and current vendor databases.
Update and maintain all reports related to marketing events.
Other responsibilities as required by management.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Communications/Event and Hospitality Management preferred (or currently in process).
Must have previous related experience.
Must demonstrate excellent customer service to all guests and internal customers.
Must have excellent communication and organizational skills (both written and oral).
Must have excellent telephone skills and email etiquette.
The ability to handle multiple tasks is required.
Must be available to work flexible hours (day and evenings) including weekends.
Must be available to work holidays.
Some local travel is required.
Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work with little direct supervision.
Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. This may include being outside in all weather conditions during events.
