must be onsite 8 am EST- 4:30 EST M-F contract for 6 months with possibility of extension for conversion Summary: The main function of a technical help desk specialist is to provide technical assistance to computer system users. A typical technical help desk specialist is responsible for answering questions or resolving computer problems for clients in person, via telephone or from a remote location. Job Responsibilities: • Answer user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve problems. • Enter commands and observe system functioning to verify correct operations and detect errors. • Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial actions taken, or installation activities. • Read technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support. Skills: • Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and manage one’s time. • Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback. • Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, electronic equipment and computer hardware and software. • Knowledge of computer software, such as configuration management software, desktop communications software, operating system software and internet directory services software. Education/Experience: • Associates degree in computer related field or equivalent training required. • 5-7 years experience required. Job Summary: As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of hardware and software components to ensure the smooth operation of the Business. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, installing and configuring computer hardware and software, Office 365 & Microsoft Teams support, supporting multiple OS levels including Android, working closely with other teams within Brunswick IT and to be the primary point of contact for local IT support. This position will also participate in driving business process changes through technology and who works well independently or in a group to develop technical strategies. The Technical Support Specialist will be expected to work closely with vendors and external support representatives. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: • Diagnose, analyze, and resolve issues across the company • Provide First Level support to End-User devices & Peripherals o (PC’s, Laptops, Tablets, Android Devices, Printers, Scanners, Etc.) • Support the Brunswick network infrastructure • Device replacements on a routine schedule according to warranty • Deploy new technology and devices to users and on the shop floor • Accurate documentation of work process • Utilize the Brunswick ITSM software for work performed • Be a technical resource, provide planning, and drive execution for special projects while still performing current job duties • Assist in communication to End-Users regarding changes, upgrades or planned outages • Strictly follow guidance and regulations provided by Brunswick Information Security • Strong attention to detail and to maintain safety in the workplace Preferred Job Requirements: • Strong experience supporting Windows Operating Systems, Android Devices, Configuration Manager, Active Directory and corporate Networks • Associates Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or comparable program • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or comparable program preferred • 5 years’ work experience providing support in a related field Company: Brunswick is home to more than 60 industry-leading brands.
