Position Specific Description

NextEra Energy’s Engagement, Diversity & Inclusion Team is seeking a passionate team member with strong communication, collaboration, analytics, and project management skills. The ideal candidate must possess a keen understanding of facilitating change in a large organization to advance engagement, diversity and inclusion across our businesses. Must demonstrate strong communication skills – verbal, written, presentation/ facilitation. Must be able to develop and execute strategy, including programs such as D&I Summit, employee engagement survey, etc. Must be able to facilitate employee resource groups and other ambassador groups. Must be able to analyze data to determine trends and use data to tell a story. Must be able to interact and engage with a broad audience at various levels – both internally and externally. Must demonstrate discretion in highly sensitive or confidential matters; sound judgment and decision making are critical. Must also possess strategic and conceptual thinking, consulting, and influencing skills. Knowledge of human capital, employee engagement, diversity and inclusion principles, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action laws and regulations is ideal but not required. This role has high visibility to senior and business unit leaders and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders.

Job Overview

This job is responsible for analyzing diversity and inclusion data and coordinating communications with Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). Employees in this role will run reports and perform analysis of information such as applicant flow, hiring, terminations, promotions and other related data to monitor effectiveness of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action programs (AAP).

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepares moderate to complex reporting and analysis by extracting data from various source records including SAP, electronic applicant tracking system and affirmative action planning software

• Audits data to ensure accuracy of reports

• Partners with Corporate Recruiting and HR Systems to ensure applicant tracking software and SAP produce accurate, timely and complete reports to support preparation of AAPs, and on-going audit requirements

• Analyzes and submits federal employment reporting as required, including annual EEO-1 and VETS-100 reports

• Supports HR Relationship teams in understanding and analyzing reports to ensure effective implementation of AAPs

• Evaluates reports for trends and makes recommendations

• Prepares quarterly diversity update reports for senior leadership

• Maintains current knowledge of AAP/EEO compliance regulations to ensure proper data collection and reporting

• Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• High School Grad / GED

• Bachelors or Equivalent Experience

• Experience: 2 years

Preferred Qualifications

• Senior Professional in HR Cert (SPHR)

• Professional HR Certification (PHR)
