Remote Network/Cloud Engineer

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a high level Network Engineer to work for a Biometrics company. Although we are looking for a network engineer, this position is also focused on cloud engineering. We are looking for someone who installs and maintains cloud-based applications, systems, or associated system and network infrastructures. The candidate will analyze and define business requirements to determine specifications and standards; proposes and develops solutions. Deploy and oversee implementation and integration of web-based applications, ensuring that appropriate information security standards are met.

Skills and Requirements

5 years of experience with deploying, configuring, and managing firewalls and load balancers, especially Fortinet FortiGates and F5 Big-IP Traffic Managers

5 years of experience with AWS networking services and features i.e. VPCs (peering and routing), Transit Gateways, VPNs, WAF, and Route 53

5 years of overall systems administration experience

5 years of experience with cloud computing technologies

Experience with Git, Terraform, Ansible and Python

Experience in AWS GovCloud FedRAMP High compliance experience

Windows Domain administration experience

Linux system administration experience (esp. Centos/RHEL and Amazon Linux [2 and 2023])

EKS/Kubernetes management/networking experience

CompTIA Security or equivalent

Bachelors Degree null
