Job Summary and Qualifications
The Director ensures high quality, patient-centered care through oversight of the overall function and staffing of the unit(s)/department(s) in addition to forecasting, planning, and budget monitoring. The Director fosters a culture of accountability and collaboration and supports the development and implementation of strategies, policies, and procedures in support of facility objectives.
What qualifications you will need:
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice or approved compact state required
Bachelors Degree in Nursing required, Masters Degree preferred
1-3 years of experience in healthcare required
1-3 years of clinical leadership experience required
National Nursing Certification in Specialty or Nursing Leadership preferred
Basic Cardiac Life Support or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
What you will do in this role:
Cultivate a superior clinical identity by identifying and implementing evidence-based practices to advance patient safety and quality outcomes, ensuring adherence to standards of care.
Manage variation in clinical practice to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and cost, while ensuring a culture of accountability and transparency in the provision of care.
Stay abreast of legal and regulatory standards and ensures compliance through developing and implementing policies, procedures, and practices.
Ensure efficient patient throughput and delivery of high quality, patient-centered care through volume forecasting, patient flow coordination, and admission/discharge planning.
Provide leadership in attaining and sustaining an unparalleled patient experience, by instilling accountability for providing consistent, positive patient interactions that differentiate the organization as a healthcare leader.
Leverage various feedback mechanisms to benchmark performance and identify opportunities to improve customer/patient satisfaction in an effort to elevate the patient experience.
Foster a culture that inspires commitment to the vision/mission/values of the organization, ensuring employees are recognized, valued, and supported.
Identify development opportunities or training needs of individual employees and teams and provide any needed coaching, feedback, or training to improve performance.
Collaborate with administrative team and physicians to enhance existing services or develop new service offerings.
Identify stakeholder engagement strategies, technology advances, and other opportunities to drive differentiation and increase volume.
Participate in the annual budget process, including input into department revenue and expense forecasts, staffing, and supply and equipment needs.
Ensure effective labor management, including position control, scheduling excellence, productivity management, and premium pay utilization to maintain staffing to ensure appropriate patient care.
Manage operating expenses, including the utilization of supplies and equipment. Identify cost reduction opportunities and implement actions to achieve savings.

These include emergency, inpatient rehabilitation. Also including oncology, orthopedics, and women’s services. We are an Accredited Chest Pain Center and a Primary Stroke Center. TriStar Horizon is a leading provider of emergency heart and stroke care. Our satellite campus, TriStar Natchez, offers imaging and oncology services. They offer a 24/7, full-service ER that provides the same services as our main campus emergency room.
