Horizon Physical Therapy is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Receptionist/Finance Assistant to join our team. This hybrid role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our front desk and finance functions. You will support the finance staff in the accurate, complete, and timely handling of patient paperwork while also performing key receptionist duties.

Key Responsibilities:

– Patient Paperwork and Financial Management:
– Verify patient insurance information.
– Enter new patient data into our system accurately.
– Compile and mail paper claims.
– Prepare correspondence for doctors and insurance companies.
– File paperwork on fully paid claims.
– Obtain patient extensions/reauthorizations for therapy from insurance companies.
– Maintain and organize paper record systems.
– Create patient estimates based on copay, deductible, and co-insurance as per the insurance details.
– Front Desk Support:
– Assist with patient callbacks and scheduling.
– Provide excellent customer service to patients and visitors.
– Help with basic office cleaning and upkeep.

Skills and Abilities Required:

– Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
– Technical: Proficient with computers and able to quickly learn new software. Experience with Optimis PT and Advanced MD is highly desirable.
– Numerical: Comfortable working with numbers and data.
– Organizational: Highly organized with a strong ability to follow through and complete tasks.
– Team Player: Ability to work well within a team environment.
– Calm Under Pressure: Ability to maintain composure and handle tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
– Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of work.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 – $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
